Can anyone recommend a good 8v-71 mechanc in the Dayton, OH area. I want to do a good tune up before it gets cold. I have serviced the air cleaner and new fuel filters and am getting ready to do an oil change when I get the Delo 100 40 wt I need. I would like to get someone who can properly adjust the fuel rack and check the governor. Thanks for any help. |

I live in Dayton, Ohio (Vandalia). I have a 6v92TA DDEC2, when an injector locked up and broke a pushrod, I took it to Miami Valley International in Vandalia. Good 2stroke guy there. |

Thanks Joe, They are definitely on my list of places to talk to. I think they are an authorized DD center. I guess that is better than nothing for these old "almost" antiques. I hear setting the rack on a "v" DD is something you need to have some experience in. Mine seems to be a little low in power and I have been seeing some black smoke when I take off from a stop that was never there before. I just changed fuel filters and I serviced the oil bath oil cleaner about 3 months ago. It only had a little bit of crap in the bottom and it hadn't been done in almost 2 years. Someone told me about a place in Mason, OH. Heavy Duty Trucks or something like that. Don't know if they are skilled in 2 stokes though. |
